Samples included protocol biopsies from xenografts that survived in the nonhuman primates (NHPs) for up to 2 years. The most intriguing result from this study was the finding that pig-specific endothelial transcripts decreased with duration of survival in the xenografts, whereas NHP-specific endothelial cell transcripts increased."}
