To the Editor On both sides of the Atlantic, the management of ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) has, for more than 15 years, included recommendations for either timely primary percutaneous coronary intervention (pPCI) or pharmacoinvasive therapy (PIT). Although reperfusion strategies have evolved over half a century, timely intervention remains the most critical determinant of survival.
